Home Based Profession - Which Will Be Best For You?

Home Business No Comments »
Regardless of whether you’re a homemaker, a retiree looking to reenter the workforce or are simply fed up with that awful daily commute to slave away in a cubicle making somebody else rich, it is certainly worth your time to investigate your options - perhaps it’s high time you started your own home based business.

A lot of people have found personal satisfaction by taking back control of their lives and going into business for themselves; many also find that with a little work, they are also bringing in a bigger income than they did from their day job! The question you have to ask yourself is whether you are ready to take the plunge yourself and do it too.

If you are considering a home based business, you will find that you will want to make sure that you are looking online. When you go online, you will find that there are plenty of different options and that you will be able to very quickly and very easily locate the top 10 home businesses out there.

Take some time to think about the best home based business. In all reality, you’ll find that there are no such things as the best home based businesses out there, only the best home business for you. When you are looking to make some cash in this fashion, think about your strengths.

Are you someone who loves talking to people? Could you talk on the phone or in person for hours? Maybe you are someone who excels when it comes to encounters online instead; maybe you have a real knack for communicating through a video or a website.

In any case, you’ll find that if you want to find the best home based businesses that you need to think about making sure that you are playing to your strengths. The better you are something naturally, the easier it will be.

You’ll also want to check out reviews of any opportunity you are considering. Have a look at all of the opportunities which appeal to you and find out what other people are saying about them - these reviews area great resource, so be sure to take advantage of them. If you are unsure you are making the right choice, decide how much time you will give this opportunity and how much work you are willing to put into it. This way, you can try out an opportunity and decide if it will really be right for you.

When you want to make sure that you are making the right choice, tell yourself how long you plan to give yourself and how much work you are going to put in. This will elt you give an opportunity a try before you drop it.

All for now.  Kind regards,

Write Emails That Get Attention

Marketing Pro Info No Comments »

Whatever business you are in the time will come when you will need to send a ’sales’ email. By this I mean an email that is aiming to nurture a sale, be it a product or service that you are marketing.

There are some key factors to making your emails effective. Let me touch on a couple now…

* Key 1. Choosing the right Subject Heading is vital.

The reason the Subject Heading is so important is for a couple of reasons:

a) Your Subject Heading needs to grab people’s attention and enthuse them to want to open and read your email.

b) The wording of your Subject Heading can be key in your emails ability to get through spam filters. Write the wrong Subject Heading and spam filters will eat your email alive!

So, what should you look for in writing a good Subject Heading?

Firstly, personalise all the time you can. By this I mean add the person’s first name to the Subject Heading. This gives your email a personal feel and tells the spam filters that you know the person you’re writing to so it’s much less likely to be flagged as spam.

As an example:
‘John, you really need to take a look at this’
‘For a limited period I can offer you this, John’
‘John, I think you will find this very interesting’

* Key 2. Always personalise the opening greeting with the person who you are writing to’s name. Again, as an example ‘Hi John’.

I recognise personalising individual emails is no problem, but what if you are sending out a lot of emails to a lot of people, obviously all with different names? Then you need to make a small investment in subscribing to an automated mailing programme.

One company I’d highly recommend for ease of use and professional yet simple functionality, is Aweber - it’s the company that many internet professionals use. Check their service out at:

==>  http://www.Marketing-Pro-Info.com/autoresponder.htm

Aweber allows you to easily add or import a list of the details of all your contacts ie first name, last name, email, etc, and then write one email which you then send to your list and, using this software, it will personalise all your emails.

* Key 3: Make your emails easy to read:

Try to keep your paragraphs to a maximum of 4 or 5 lines, to make reading the email easy on the eyes, and not so scary when people quickly scroll it.

If your email is full of big blocks of text, your recipient will simple close it and move on.

And key points should be made on single lines, in their own paragraph.

* Key 4: Write your ‘Sales Copy’ as you speak:

‘Sales Copy’ is the term used to describe the text in your email that is aiming to encourage a sale.

People like to do business with people they know, so write your emails in an informal (yet professional) way, writing as you would speak.

Yes, I know your English teacher would have a heart-attack over the poor use of grammar but you are not writing a literary epic, you are writing to motivate someone towards a sale. So write to them in a way that suggests you are a friend or colleague.

We have only just touched the surface on writing powerful, effective emails. I will cover more in future issues of Marketing Pro Info.

Keys To Using The Phone Successfully

Marketing Pro Info 1 Comment »

No matter what business you are in, there will come a time when you will have to market something (even if it’s yourself) over the phone.

Using the phone, for sales and marketing purposes, has long been a daunting experience for many people. But the phone is a very powerful tool for your business and, used right, it can be a highly cost-effective and productive way of getting business.

* Key 1:   Learn to get comfortable using the phone by simply making calls:

There are many ideas that pamper to people’s anxieties over using the phone, but in my experience the best way to overcome any nerves or apprehension is simply this: get on the phone and start speaking to people!

The sooner you start talking with people, the sooner you will realise that the phone is not the monster you thought it would be. Just start making calls. What’s the worst that can happen? Someone says ‘no’ to what you are offering them. Yep, hearing ‘no thanks’ is the worse that can happen!

With each call you make, you will find your nerves ebb away, and you will get stronger and more confident on the phone. Try it and you’ll see what I mean. The more you use the phone, the more confident you will get.

OK, not the most profound solution but certainly one of the quickest to get you positive results, both by overcoming your nerves and for getting results that increase your business.

* Key 2:   Always open your calls with a Time Qualifier:

There is nothing worse than when you are in the middle of something, your phone rings, you answer, and someone starts hosing you down with what they’re trying to market to you. Your attention is weak, your patience thin, and often your sense of humour for being interrupted has long left the room!

You certainly don’t want the same result when you call someone.

So, the easiest way to avoid this is to qualify the time you’re calling by using a simple opening phrase along the lines of:

‘Hi John, Steve here. Have you got 10 minutes now?’

or

‘Hi John, Steve here. Is this a good time to run something past you for 10 minutes?’

By doing this, you extend respect that they might be in the middle of something and in doing, allow them to tell you its not really a good time. You also have prepped them with the fact that you only need 10 minutes of their time. And, if they say ‘it’s a bit difficult right now’, you haven’t wasted your time talking to someone whose attention is elsewhere.

* Key 3:   Build in a Disclaimer:

How do you feel when someone says ‘I’ve got something that is JUST RIGHT for you’? I bet you immediately think to yourself how do they know its right for me; I’ll be the judge of that; it probably isn’t right for me, and so on.

Well that’s how the people you speak to on the phone will react when you try to market to them in a presumed way.

So disarm them straight away with a simple change of phrase:

‘John, I’m not sure if what I want to share with you is for you or not, only you can decide but I did think that if it wasn’t for you, then you then may know someone who would be interested?’.

By suggesting it may or may not be for them offers them what is known as a ‘disclaimer’. In doing this several positive things has happened:

A) Firstly, by saying I’m not sure it’s for you has put the person you are talking to at ease because they then don’t think they’re on the spot to ‘buy’ whatever you are marketing or selling.

B) Secondly, it gets the person you’re talking to thinking quietly to themself ‘why isn’t it for? It might be; I’ll be the judge to decide if its for me’. In other words it turns their mental posture from ‘I don’t want it’ to ‘I might want it’.

C) By saying ‘you might know someone who would be interested’ you are in effect using the ‘3rd party approach’ (we’ll talk more about this in future articles). If the person you’re talking to then really isn’t interested, he can see a way out for himself by simply saying ‘it’s not for me but Bob might be interested’.

D) You potentially could pick up two customers - the person you called and a referral.

Hope you found these ideas useful. There are many other ‘keys’ to using the powerful tool of the telephone for effective marketing, which I will share with you in future issues of Marketing Pro Info.

All for now.  Kind regards,

OK, so who on earth is Steve Mitchell?

I thought you might find it useful knowing a bit about me, and why I’m committed to helping you achieve success wth your home-based business.

There are so many stories of people supposedly making ‘really big money’ on the internet that it’s hard to believe what’s real and what’s just an elaborate fairytale.

I found it hard to get to the bottom of what I really needed to do to get success in my business …or in real terms, profit AND actual income …real money in the bank!

I spent years “trying” to be successful, all the time getting more and more broke as I ‘tried’ - I was NOT one of those folks who jumped on the internet business band-wagon and instantly made money …I had to battle, struggle and fight for success, and in the process grab every nugget of help, advice and information from all the successful people around me, and then really apply it to my business before I saw any success.

I jokingly tell folks I’m one of the few people that’s learned ‘how to be successful’ from actually trying (and more often failing) loads of different ways that don’t work!

But here’s the real key, and the point of my message now - I’ve actually learned through complete trial and error what DOES work …over years of testing and trying I am in the position to share all I’ve spent years learning to help guide you towards success, and serious income, with the tremendous benefit that you won’t have to take the years of ‘hard knocks’ as I did - you can immediately learn and apply (and therefore earn) NOW from my experience.

So, is my experience worth learning from? Well, quite honestly, only you can decide that from the value of the information, ideas, products, tips, and strategies I will share with you over the coming days, weeks and months.

By the way, people ask am I now successful? Here’s my brief story (and yes, it’s very real)…

I was a ‘Pizza Guy’ who went from losing everything… my business, house, cars, credit cards, bank accounts, all my money, almost my family - everything! …to earning over $2.6 million in under 28 months with a business I work part-time from home…

I have…
…a glorious wife and two wonderful children.
…a $90,000 Porsche (one of 3 cars).
…large houses in UK, Spain and shortly in France.
…more ‘toys’ I can ever use (or probably need!).
…time to focus on health and fitness.
…holidays whenever I want in exotic locations around the world.
…more money in the bank than I really need  :o)  …and so allowing me to be able to do pretty much what I want, when I want.

Note: of course I can validate all I claim. Feel free to checkout a few pictures of the life my home-based business now provides us… >>   http://marketing-pro-info.com/blog/?p=61

Yep, I guess I’m judged to be successful, but this ’success’ came from the business lessons I’ve learned.

Please understand that I tell you about my success NOT to impress you but to ‘impress upon you’ that I now KNOW how to help people be successful and show them how to truly achieve the income and lives they really want, working from home.

…AND now I want to share that information, FREE, with you.

Why would I do that? Because I want to take you from that sceptical place you’re at right now, not perhaps
believing all you’re reading, to a place where you do trust me and value the information I share, and the only way I can do that is ‘prove’ to you I am “for real” by helping YOU now towards your success.

I will share my knowledge and information free-of-charge; every now and again I will send you a free gift (and yes, they really are ‘free gifts’!), and every now and again I will let you know of a product that I use myself and I think is worthwhile for a small outlay, but will help your business succeed faster, and your income grow quicker.

So, for now, I’d again like ‘thank you’ for having faith in me to allow me to support you towards the success you’re prepared to work for, and the lifestyle you truly deserve.

It’s great to get to know you now; here’s to a long and successful friendship  :o)  …and some fun along the way.

Best wishes,
